Staircase at the Canal Grande Restaurant (one of the two Main Dining Rooms) on the Carnival Venezia
Our third sea day was mostly about exercising and eating and, for me, enjoying the beautiful views of the sun, clouds and ocean. Today’s story will be mostly about the food.
The Sea Day Brunch was available from 8:30 a.m. until noon in the Canal Grande Restaurant, but we decided, again, to eat breakfast at the Lido Marketplace breakfast buffet.
There was another cute towel animal on our bed when we got to our stateroom after breakfast.
After exercising we had lunch. The theme at Chef’s Choice at the Lido Marketplace lunch buffet was Latin America.
Below is the menu and photos of some of the food at Comfort Kitchen at the Lido Marketplace lunch buffet that day.
For lunch I ate at the Chinese Buffet at Seafood Shack again (which is free and available every sea day). I’ve said it before, but I really like the food there, especially the Vegetable Spring Rolls! So yummy!
Below is the lunch menu for La Strada Grill for that day, our third sea day, which was open every sea day from noon until 2:30 p.m. Besides the Lido Marketplace Buffet, the Chinese Food Buffet and La Strada Grill, there were other included (free) lunch choices as well (and besides the Sea Day Brunch). Pasta Bella Pasta Bar was open from noon until 2:30 p.m., Tomodoro was open from noon until 3:30 p.m., Guy’s Burgers was open from noon until 6 p.m., the Lido Marketplace Deli was open from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m., Pizzeria del Capitano was open from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m, and there was Tea Time from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

After watching the sunset together we got changed to eat appetizers at the Grande Canal Restaurant.
For his starters, my husband had the Seafood Chowder with Herbed Garlic Bread, I had Minestra D’Orzo, and we both had Fire Roasted Chicken Wings with BLT Salad with Sesame Dressing and Tuna Tartare with Lemon Dressing.
After our dinner appetizers in the Main Dining Room (Canal Grande Restaurant) we went to eat dinner at the Lido Marketplace dinner buffet.
Later on we got some pizza from Pizzeria del Capitano. The two guys making the pizzas were not friendly, which, fortunately, is the exception for the employees on Carnival Cruise Line. The guy who put my pizza together seemed annoyed that I requested extra cheese. Then it took over 30 minutes to make my pizza (there was no line the entire time we waited, he just kept making other pizzas and putting them out before he made my pizza). Then, when my pizza was finally ready, it came out soggy – it was such a mess.
We did some other things around the ship then went to bed.
