This day was similar to our other sea days – eat, exercise, eat, exercise, maybe eat some more, watch the sunset, eat, do some things around the ship in the evening, maybe eat a little more, then go to bed.
They did not have a Sea Day Brunch this sea day, instead they offered breakfast in the Canal Grande Restaurant from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. and lunch with a Far East Asia menu in the Canal Grande Restaurant from noon until 1:30 p.m – you can see that lunch menu below.
Far East Asia menu for lunch in the Canal Grande Restaurant was available from noon until 1:30 p.m on our fourth sea day (ninth day) of our ten night Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Carnival Venezia
We opted to eat at the Lido Marketplace lunch buffet and the Chinese lunch buffet at Seafood Shack.
After lunch we both exercised and then we played miniature golf. One thing to know when doing the miniature golf course on the Carnival Venezia and the Carnival Magic, and I assume on other ships as well, is that the course is on two decks. For example, on the Venezia you start on deck 12, then eventually play a couple (maybe three?) holes on deck 14 (there is no deck 13), then you go back to deck 12 to play the final hole(s) (or the final hole is played from deck 14 – I can’t remember).
After playing miniature golf, we did the ropes course. This ropes course is much better than the ropes course on the Carnival Magic, and the harnesses did not stink like the harnesses on the Carnival Magic. You have to wear a shirt that covers your shoulders to do the ropes course, so be prepared for that if you want to do the ropes course. You can see part of the ropes course in a couple of of the photos below and in the opening photo for this page. Plus there are photos on other pages of this travel story that show parts of the miniature golf course and part of the ropes course.

After sunset we got changed and went to the Canal Grande Restaurant for dinner. It was the second of the two elegant nights for our cruise, and lobster was on the menu! Yay for all the lobster lovers on the ship! (I’m not one of them, but my husband definitely is one of them!)

For starters, my husband had Caesar Salad and Shrimp Cocktail, and I had Baby Spinach Salad and Tuscan Bean Zuppa. We each ordered two Lobster Tails plates for our entrees (and we forgot to take photos of them!), and my husband ate the four lobster tails and we both ate the sides that came with the tails. The Mushroom Risotto that came with the Lobster Tails was excellent! Very satisfying. The Tuscan Bean Zuppa was comfotring and the Baby Spinach Salad was good. My husband always enjoys their Caesar Salad and their Shrimp Cocktail. The Pineapple Sherbet was, as usual, delicious, as was the Vanilla Crème Brûlée, which is also always good.

After dinner we went to the Lido Marketplace to check out the dinner buffet being offered.

Then we went to the Piano Bar and listened to a few songs (and had one of our two requests played) until someone wearing a lot of fragrance came in so we had to leave.

Then we went to check out the Terrazza Carnevale outdoor deck area which is open exclusively to Terrazza Carnevale Guests during the daytime. There are two Spas out there and a number of lounging areas. Most of the cushions had been removed from the chairs, which I assume was due to the wind.

I really like the way the Carnevale Bar & Lounge looks. As you can see in the photos below, it has cool looking seating areas.

Then we went to the Lido Deck where a Silent Disco Party was going on. In case you don’t know what a Silent Disco Party is, it’s a party where everyone gets a pair of headphones and they can tune in to one of the channels of their choice (it could be just two channels or more than two channels available to choose from) and everyone sings along and dances to the music they are tuned to. The Silent Disco Parties are NOT silent as you can hear in the video below. It’s entertaining to watch, and funny! After watching the Silent Disco Party for a little while, we got a cocktail from Rococo Bar then went to our stateroom for the night.
